Building a Custom Home

Step #1

Initial interview. This interview will be held at Mike Spruill’s home office so that you can see some of our work and we can get to know each other. It will allow us to accumulate portfolio data on your needs and lifestyle for development of your home design. We will give you financing information, and you will walk away very informed and have a very good idea of what you and your family want in a home and how much it will cost.

Step #2

We will prepare a preliminary quote per your portfolio. This will give you an educated estimate on the cost of your entire project before you start designing or pay any money whatsoever.

Step #3

We shake hands on the project, write estimated plan payment and deposit. Then we begin design work on your home. By now we will know what you want, and we will work to get it for you. We will keep you informed per budgets set in the preliminary quote. This process will take from 3 days to 4 weeks.

Step #4

Plans are complete. We prepare a final quote, and we meet to review all the budgets and make any changes to amenities and building materials. We usually sign an agreement at this point, and our office arranges to have the contract and paperwork delivered to the finance company.

Step #5

We begin the preliminary building process and lot preparation while the financing is being finalized. After closing the loan, we immediately start building your new home.
